Mark Tacket and prior to him, Jacob Hosp, have restored the course to its former glory and more. This course is the best value in the area bar none. The greens are in great shape: fast, true, and well manicured. The cart paths are rough, but the club is and has been in the process of replacing the paths with improved, thick concrete paths. In addition, the course is challenging due to the slope, elevation changes, and quick greens. The layout and flow of the course are the best in Joplin. The only downfall is the rocky terrain which is covered primarily with oak trees. Due to this, it is difficult to grow quality grasses between goals/fairways in the areas which are nearly out of play, but often found with errant shots. Excellent course, terrific staff, and significantly improved pros hop which now features a quality restaurant and sports bar.
